Throughout the year, we are grateful to be recipients of the following food drives in the community.
Stamp Out Hunger
This annual National Association of Letters Carriers' event is the largest one-day food drive in the country. Prior to mail carriers' arrival on the second Saturday in May, residents can place a non-perishable food items next to their mailboxes. Mail carriers will collect those items and deliver them to local a food bank, or food pantry. In 2017, 53,430 pounds of food were collected and delivered to Sheboygan County Food Bank. Learn more.
Scouting for Food
This drive is coordinated by local units of the Boy Scouts of America. On a designated fall weekend, Scouts distribute bags and information on the food drive. The next weekend, Scouts collect non-perishable food items placed in the bags, which are then donated to Sheboygan County Food Bank.
Making Spirits Bright
This drive-through holiday music and lights show in Sheboygan's Evergreen Park was initiated by the Rotary Clubs of Sheboygan County and is our biggest food drive. Its purposes are to collect food items for the Sheboygan County Food Bank and to help area people experience the beauty, awe and wonder of the holiday season.
