Stock the Shelves
Stock the Shelves is USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin's biggest community fundraiser of the year, which aims to ensure families in area communities have food for the holidays. USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin sponsors and promotes the fundraiser and also lists donors in The Sheboygan Press in their special Thanksgiving edition. Stock the Shelves has been a critical fundraiser for Sheboygan County Food Bank for many years. The 2018 campaign ran from September 30 – November 11.

"You don't think it's going to be you."
Lauren said that as someone whose family once had to use the food pantries, food insecurity can touch anyone at any point. Read about our Communications and Development Coordinator, Lauren's, personal tie to the Food Bank and how you can make a difference here via The Sheboygan Press.
Freeze the Freezer
At the end of summer 2018, we decided that we were in immediate need of a larger freezer so that we could store more fresh and healthy foods for the 3,000 families that we serve. The total cost, including installation, was estimated to be about $35,000.
We launched our Freeze the Freezer fundraiser in early September. As donations came in, we unlocked local *penguin* advocates who take stances against hunger in Sheboygan County on our social media and, very quickly, we were amazed by the generosity of our community! Our friends at the Hunger Ball of Sheboygan County graciously raised and donated $25,000. With further help from our community, we surpassed our fundraiser goal and raised $36,700 by the beginning of October.
