Our 3rd annual Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk presented by WLKN-Lake 98.1 is Saturday, November 23, 2019! This unique Sheboygan event is an exclusive 5K run and 1 mile walk through the Making Spirits Bright's drive-through holiday lights show in Evergreen Park prior to its opening to the public. All money raised supports Sheboygan County Food Bank. Summary (2017 and 2018)
The Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk is community event and a fundraiser for Sheboygan County Food Bank which welcomed 2,114 participants and raised nearly $40,000 after expenses in its first two years thanks to the generous support of our community.
In 2018, the 5K run and 1-mile walk course offered a “sneak peek” of Making Spirits Bright drive-through holiday lights show in Evergreen Park prior to its opening to the public. People enjoyed "Santa's Workshop" tent for family-friendly activities and refreshments, a professional race chip-timing and reporting service, more music speakers throughout the course, a Deer Creek Cheese tasting and beer pairing at 3 Sheeps Brewing for the after party and award ceremony, and much more.
