The National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive is the largest single-day food drive in the country. Residents can place non-perishable food items next to their mailboxes and mail carriers collect the donations while they’re out on their assigned routes. Sheboygan County Food Bank receives donations from Sheboygan, Howards Grove, and Kohler, and works with volunteers to help pick up, unload, and weigh donations.
Sheboygan County Food Bank works with community partners to coordinate the Herb Kohler and Natalie Black Community Cafe at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Sheboygan over the lunch hours, Monday – Saturday. Volunteers ages 12 and older help with light food prep and set up, serving lunch, greeting guests, and clean up. On Wednesdays, representatives from local organizations are welcome to join by sharing resources and conversations with the guests. Bulk meal and three-gallon soup donations from local restaurants, organizations, and individuals are always appreciated!
Sheboygan Cares Food Pantry is our onsite, drive-thru distribution that provides nutritious and fresh food on Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings. Volunteers help prepare bags of food, direct clients safely through our garage, and load food into clients’ vehicles. Volunteers must be able to lift 30 pounds.
